In 2002, Martin John was working at a bookstore and asked to lead storytime.  It went well but he noticed that it was missing something.  He found a non talking bull hand puppet for the next storytime and fell in love with it.  Within a few weeks, Martin bought LUKE the monkey and he started practicing ventrilouquism:(The art of projecting your voice so that it seems that it is coming from another source).  In 2004, Martin performed his first birthday party using a cardboard puppet stage for a short puppet show and a borrowed chair for the ventriloquist act.

Meeting a new friend in church, Martin learned how to create balloon art, clowning and magic.  Using every form of his new trade to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

After a spell of no activity, he decided to change his approach and created The CLUBHOUSE KIDS Puppet theater.  Using puppetry, ventriloquism, balloon art, magic and storytelling to entertain the young and younger while teaching core character values through situations that we come across every day.
